Q&A Call
Before you sign anything, we walk you through the proposal. This is your chance to ask every question, request changes, and make sure you feel completely comfortable with the plan.
Signing & Selections
Once you're ready to proceed, we finalise the contract and move into the fun stuff - selecting your tiles, tapware, cabinetry, and finishes. We’ll guide you through every decision, making sure the choices feel cohesive and true to your vision.
Construction & Handover
You'll have daily updates through BuilderTrend, and we’ll make sure to keep your home clean and tidy throughout. When we hand over the keys, your bathroom is ready to use.

How much does a bathroom renovation cost?
The final cost depends on the size of the space, the scope of work, and the materials and finishes you choose. We’ll provide a detailed, fixed quote after your initial consultation so you know exactly what you’re committing to.
How long does a bathroom renovation take?
The duration of a bathroom renovation depends on the complexity of the project. A simple update might take between 3-4 weeks, whereas a more complex renovation may take up to 6 weeks. We’ll give you a more precise timeline during your consultation, and you’ll be able to track progress daily through BuilderTrend.
I only have one bathroom. Can I stay in my home during the renovation?
Whilst it can get a little tricky when you only have one bathroom, many clients manage to live in their home whilst undertaking a bathroom renovation. Some other ways you can manage this time is by leaning on neighbours, family members and friends. Maximising your gym membership or office shower is also a great idea!

We've lived in our home for many years. Is a full bathroom renovation still worth it?
Yes, and often more so than for a newer home. Bathrooms in older homes frequently have outdated layouts, worn fixtures, and waterproofing that is well past its effective life. A properly completed renovation addresses all of this, improves daily comfort and safety, and protects the value of a home you’ve invested in for years.
Many of our clients in this position also take the opportunity to futureproof the space with wider doorways, step-free shower entry, better lighting, and slip-resistant flooring. All of these are far easier and more cost-effective to install during a renovation than to retrofit later.
How do we know the tradespeople coming into our home are trustworthy?
All tradespeople working on your project are either direct Built By Wood employees or established subcontractors we work with consistently and trust completely. We don’t use labour-hire platforms or unfamiliar contractors.
Troy, your dedicated on-site supervisor, is on-site regularly and maintains direct oversight of all work being carried out. If you have a concern about anyone on site at any time, you can raise it with Troy or Brian directly.
We only have one bathroom. How do you manage that?
It’s one of the most common concerns we hear. We plan the construction schedule carefully to minimise the period where the bathroom is fully out of use, and we’ll talk through your specific situation during the consultation so you can plan accordingly. Add something in here about organising a portable toilet being on site.
Some clients arrange to stay with family for a short period. Others make use of a gym or workplace facility. We’ll give you an honest timeline so you can make the right call for your household.

You’ll also have daily updates that keep you informed of what happened on site each day, what’s coming next, and who to call if you have a question. You’ll never have to chase us for an update.
